Walter J. Mahoney Library
At Stepinac, we’re committed to helping students build essential skills like research, critical thinking, evidence-based writing, collaboration, and confident presentations.
The Walter J. Mahoney Library is at the heart of this effort, offering a welcoming space and access to a wealth of resources.
Students can explore a variety of top research databases including EBSCO, ProQuest, Encyclopedia Britannica, and OpenEd, featuring scholarly journals, newspapers, reports, historical archives, and ebooks.
Our library houses nearly 7,000 cataloged items, from books and magazines to videos and audio collections, plus over 25 current magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Electronic back issues of more than 1,000 publications, school yearbooks, and recorded theater performances are also available, providing rich resources for study and inspiration.
Stepinac students learn to master citation styles used in college and beyond, including Chicago, APA, and MLA formats, preparing them for academic success.
We’re also proud to be the only private school in the tri-state area offering the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma Program, a research-intensive track endorsed by university scholars that adds a distinctive edge to a Stepinac diploma.
