Application Process
ALL APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSIONS
Archbishop Stepinac High School is known as the standard bearer in
curriculum innovation. We provide our young men with a highly
competitive academic program that leverages our collegiate blended
learning platforms and project-based learning pedagogy to equip
students with skills to become globally competitive. We accept
students who have the academic potential to succeed in this rigorous
collaborative learning environment.
Complete the online application to be considered for admissions to
Stepinac. Applicants can only be considered for admission once all steps in the online process are fully completed.

Stepinac's TACHS code is #122. Please mark the code
correctly for Stepinac to receive your scores. -
All Catholic schools have copies of the TACHS Applicant Record
Form. Please confirm that they will send it to the Stepinac
Admissions Office. -
Private and public school applicant must completed the TACHS
Applicant Record Form and email it to admissions@stepinac.org. -

Stepinac is listed as your 1st , 2nd or 3rd choice. -

CLASS OF 2031 APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE TACHS:
Applicants that did not take the TACHS Exam may apply at any time.
Applying to Stepinac requires the following documentation:
- Online Admissions Application required for ALL public &
parochial applicants applying to Stepinac to be notified on
January 20, 2027. (Applicants are still invited to apply after this
date and consideration will be based on availability.) - Online application: CLICK HERE TO APPLY
- A copy of the 7th and 8th grade report cards submitted with online
application. - At least one academic recommendation from a guidance
counselor or 8th grade teacher returned to the Admissions Office.
Recommendation Forms are sent through the online application. - After all materials have been received and reviewed, an in-
person interview with a member of the Admissions Committee
may be required.
FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS:
Transfer applicants that wish to be considered for the current school year may apply and consideration will be determined based on the time of year within the Stepinac school calendar and availability within the grade level.
Transfer applicants that wish to be considered for the 2027-2028 school year may apply at any time and will be notified on or after January 20, 2027.
If a student is interested in transferring from another high school
applying to Stepinac requires the following documentation:

- A copy of a current and previous year's report cards submitted
with the online application. - At least one academic recommendation from a guidance counselor or current teacher returned to the Admissions Office. Recommendation Forms are sent through the online application.
- Payment of the $35 non-refundable application fee can be
submitted online at www.stepinac.org/applicationfee - After all materials have been received and reviewed, an in-
person interview with a member of the Admissions Committee may be required.

Crusader for a Day
Prospective students will spend the day with a Stepinac Student Ambassador and follow his schedule. From the classroom to the cafeteria, they will experience first-hand the benefits of a Stepinac education.
The Crusader for a Day program is only available for applicants currently in 8th Grade.

To fully appreciate the Stepinac experience, we encourage parents of prospective students to participate in one of our Campus Tour dates. Campus Tours are designed to give parents a firsthand look at the day in the life of a Stepinac student.

Athletic Transfer Eligibility
A student-athlete transfer is a student who represented his sending school in athletics. Stepinac follows the rules of the CHSAA in every sport & CHSFL in Football.
CHSAA-All Sports besides Football: A student athlete transferring from 9th to 10th grade is eligible to play all sports from public or private schools. Student must be in school the first 15 days of semester to be eligible for a sport that season. Catholic to Catholic transfers are not eligible.
Football - CHSFL: A student athlete transferring from 9th to 10th grade is eligible to play all sports from public or private schools & other CHSFL schools . Student athlete must be enrolled in the school the first 15 days of semester to be eligible for a sport that season. CHSFL Catholic to Catholic transfers are not eligible from 10 to 11 grade . They must sit out one year if you played that sport in the prior CHSFL school.
CHSAA: A student athlete transferring from 10th to 11th grade is eligible to play all sports from a public or private school. Catholic school transfers must sit one year if they represented sending school in prior year in that sport.
CHSFL & CHSAA : A student athlete transferring into 12th grade is not eligible.
Exceptions to Rule: Family has made a significant move or moved out of a school district: the league will review case by case for eligibility by the executive board. Student must have proof of move, live with parents or legal guardians & be able to produce all proper paperwork that may be needed. Student transferring because of school closure or discontinuance of sport at his prior school.
